You have the power to change your story

Meet Melissa

Founder and CEO, Clinical Supervisor

I love being a psychotherapist who helps people rewrite their stories to bring more meaning and passion into their lives. Through active listening and collaboration, my goal is to help clients adopt a more fulfilling narrative. I am passionate about building a culturally and gender-sensitive therapeutic alliance that welcomes everyone; we all have value, and everyone deserves for their story to be heard.

I love providing practical strategies and techniques to help people live more balanced lives. Through our upcoming podcast entitled, “Your Remarkable Story,” I hope to make mental health topics accessible to the general population by discussing mental well-being, relationships, strengthening connections, resilience, coping mechanisms, positive changes and other related topics.

Drawing upon 32 years of clinical practice using empirically-based approaches that help people grow, I cannot wait to be invited into your story so that I can help you rewrite your narrative for a healthier and happier future. All are welcome here, and I want every client to leave my office confident in their personal strengths. Allow me to step into your story and give you the tools needed to build a more resilient future.

We are a team of highly-trained therapists who use relevant research and practical techniques to help you reach your unique potential and unlock your inner strengths.

We can help.

A Big Step

Try to remember how brave it is to step into therapy for the first time. Your intake worker knows how scary it can be and they’ll be working hard to make sure you feel heard and supported.

The Intake

The intake consists of getting background information about why you are seeking therapy, providing some personal history, getting an overview of your medical and health history, relationship history, substance use, employment or school concerns, legal history, and how you respond to and cope with stress.

Answering Questions

You never have to answer a question you feel super uncomfortable about. Unless you feel that it is necessary, you don’t have to give a lot of details about anything. Share what you are comfortable with while giving us an idea of what experiences you have had and approximately when.
